A Franciscan friar based in New Mexico, Richard Rohr founded the Center for Action and Contemplation (CAC) and serves as dean of the Living School in Albuquerque. The Living School offers a two-year program designed to help students deepen their engagement with the world and increase their capacity to respond to their unique calling.
The Christian program involves personal reading and reflection to be conducted at home, as well as online dialogues with fellow students and faculty. Three times a year, students attend a symposium with core faculty and various guest teachers, as well as a five-day intensive with Richard Rohr and Brian McLaren. Living School students may also choose to attend a second-year intensive. The Living School is not affiliated with a church or university, but offers programming that supports individual growth and development.
